One of the World's Largest Youth Science Competitions

CASTIC — the China Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest — is organised by the China Association for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education of China.

With roots dating back to 1982, CASTIC has grown into a massive multi-tiered competition in which more than 10 million students participate through local and provincial rounds each year, with approximately 500 of the strongest projects advancing to the national finals.

Top performers at CASTIC earn direct pathways to prestigious international competitions including the Regeneron ISEF, the EU Contest for Young Scientists, and Broadcom Masters International — making CASTIC one of the most powerful launchpads in global youth science.

Tunisia's Pathway to CASTIC

ATAST coordinates Tunisia's participation in CASTIC — identifying, preparing, and officially representing Tunisian student projects in the international tracks of the competition.

Through ATAST's national selection process, the most innovative Tunisian student projects are identified and prepared for submission to CASTIC's international category. ATAST provides mentorship, presentation coaching, and logistical support so that Tunisian teams arrive ready to compete at the highest level.

For Tunisian students, CASTIC is also a direct gateway: outstanding performance can earn qualification for the Regeneron ISEF and the EU Contest for Young Scientists — two of the most prestigious international science competitions in the world.
